Good God am I terrible at this! Seeing as I have not touched this blog since March, I have a 

bunch to talk about. But I will keep it brief. Just the facts!!

We'd like to thank our good friend Josh at DEAD TANK for putting out this idea that has been 

in the "works" for the last 2 or 3 years. The final 2 songs by ROSE CROSS and 2 re-recorded

You Don't Say?!?!

Hello Earth! It has been a while. A long while. But we're back and full on truckin'. Well, we at least have a decent amount of plans for 2014. But before I start revealing our darkest secrets, I want to thank the FUTURE VIRGINS for coming down and playing what will probably be one of the best shows of 2014(along with CHILDREN'S CHILDREN, THE CAREENERS and POST TEENS), and everyone that came out and raged very hard with us. Great times!

Our good friend Rose Vastola took a bunch of pictures at the show(including the one up top). Check them out and a bunch of other great pictures here.


So, the first bit of news is big news!

We will be doing a Split 7" with the always great BIG EYES which should be out on NO IDEA RECORDS sometime in the middle of spring! 2 new songs from each band. Can't wait to have those in our hands.

Also coming out sometime in the earlier part of 2014 is a Split 7" with our buddies ROSE CROSS on DEAD TANK RECORDS. 2 songs from RC(sadly, their last 2) and 3(1 new and 2 re-recorded songs from our first demo tape) from PT.

The last bit of news which is also big(at least for us) is that we were asked to play DAMAGED CITY FEST this April in D.C. and we of course said yes. So, we will be heading up there with the almighty SHITSTORM and playing a bunch of shows on the way to and back from. More details to come!

Well, it's been a little too long since the last time we updated this thing. A lot has happened and at the same time, we(Post Teens) have been on a little unplanned hiatus. Our personal lives caught up for a bit. But we are back and ready to do this!

We are playing our first show in 3 months this Saturday in St. Augustine at Nobby's as part of NOBFEST. We are very excited for it and thank Jacob Hamilton for letting us be a part. 

We also have a few shows coming up within the next few months that I will be posting as I find out more information. As well as some tour plans and recording for later on in the year.

So, we had the last Wayward Council show, July of last year. Losing Wayward Council was a pretty big blow to the Gainesville music scene. It was one of the longest running true D.I.Y. spaces here. The first show I ever went to in Gainesville(the day I moved here) was at Wayward. But being part of the final night was a real honor and hands down the best show we've played, to date. Our good friend Kendra Mamula took some pictures of our set that night. I am finally posting them. Thanks Kendra and thanks to Matt Sweeting and Wayward Coucil. We will miss it!

Hello y'all. It has been a long, busy and fun summer. We are sad to see it go but on the bright side, Gainesville is starting to cool down. I'm not going to lie, I probably won't miss the blistering heat. But enough of that. We're not here to talk about the weather.

Everything is quiet here in Bored in the USA land. I'm working on a few projects but nothing solid yet. Post Teens world has been somewhat busy though. We will be putting out a split, one sided, flexi with Mauser(one song each, limited to 500) for The Fest 11, through our good friends at Sound Study Recordings. They might be passing these things out during The Fest so I'm not too sure how long they'll last.

We have also been writing some new songs and hope to at least demo them if not record an LP before the end of the year. I will post more once we get it. In the mean time, we have some shows coming up around Florida with the likes of Grabass Charlestons(listen to track off their new album here),Big Eyes, Audacity(check out their new album, Mellow Cruisers. So Good!) and more. Come hang out if you can and support these people when they come through your town.

Full On Summer!

It's Summer again and hot as hell. Soak it in and work on your base tan! This time next week we will be in Texas with our pals, Mauser. We have a few shows to get us out there and then we spend the long weekend at Chaos in Tejas. The shows are posted below(with available details). If you're in any of those cities, come hang out.

Our new record "The Heat" comes out June 5th(hear a song below)! So, once again it has been a while and I have quite a bit to say.

First off. Thanks to Teenage Softies from Orlando, for doing a little weekend trip(tour) with Post Teens, September 9th - 11th. We all had a great time. It was a weekend full of a lot of drinking, front lawn wrestling matches, hungover swimming, sports bars, a set list fire that turned into an explosion and missing arm hair, long hungover drives and of course some great shows. We Hope to do it again in the future!

Second. The Post Teens 7" is Officially out and available through our good buds at Sound Study Recordings. If you don't have a record player and want the tracks, you can download it through them as well(just click that sound study link). It is also up for streaming at Punk News.


We would really like to thank both Sound Study and Punk News for their support.

Third. The Post Teens "Demo" tapes are just about out. I am out of them but you can still get one from No Idea, Sound Study or Robotic Empire. I was actually at No Idea Records today and noticed that they still had 6 copies of the "Bored 001" comp tape which I have been out of since December of last year, so if you would like one, hit them up.

Fourth and Last. Post Teens and Rose Cross are both playing the Fest on Saturday, October 29th. Rose Cross is playing at The Laboratory at 7:10pm and PT are playing(across the street) at 1982 at 8:00pm. Come hang out with us and if you haven't already, grab a tape from Rose Cross. And be sure to check out Averkiou(Jay from PT) and Worlds(Austin from PT), also playing Saturday night and Teenage Softies, on Sunday at Loosey's(Market Street).

Post Teens

Post Teens just wrapped up recording this week at Black Bear Studios in Gainesville, Fl. 7 songs(2 brand new and 5 re-recorded) that will come out on two separate releases. The first is a 4 song 7" set to be out by late October on Bored in the USA and Sound Study. The second set are still in the works and will hopefully be out by the end of the year.

Rose Cross are from Gainesville, Florida and have been playing around for a little over a year now. They consist of former/current members of some Florida Hardcore/Punk bands and contain a lot of that raw harsh energy but play some straight forward Rock 'n' Roll(ish) Punk with some well thought out song structures that holds them apart from some of the other bands playing this style these days.

This tape also consists of two separate recording sessions:

Side A contains songs from the first session recorded at Bo Diddley's old house in 2010.

Upcoming.

We have a few releases in the works and will have a few new things up for sale.

First: Post Teens are recording a new 7" right now. It's going to be 5 new songs and 1 reworked, re-recorded song from the demo session. There is no definitive release date slated yet but we are hoping for late 2010/early 2011. Keep an eye out for that.

Second: We are getting everything together now for a second comp tape. I have a few bands in mind and am trying to get the other ones together. That should also be out by late 2010.

Third: The last release we have planned for now is the debut 7" by Miami, Florida's Heartstrings. No date set for that either but I did get to see them twice this weekend with Post Teens and Partial People and they got me very excited to do this. It's gonna be great!

Within the next few weeks I will have some releases up for sale by some of the bands we work with/friends and local bands. These are some of the things I'll have soon:

-The Ex-Boogeymen: Masters of Ceremony CD.
