Post Teens

Post Teens just wrapped up recording this week at Black Bear Studios in Gainesville, Fl. 7 songs(2 brand new and 5 re-recorded) that will come out on two separate releases. The first is a 4 song 7" set to be out by late October on Bored in the USA and Sound Study. The second set are still in the works and will hopefully be out by the end of the year.

Our good friend Amanda Justice made a killer video for one of the songs that will be on the first 7". Thanks Amanda! Here's the video for Fucked Up Perception:

Holy Shit, I'm Lazy!

Well not really but it has been a long time since my last post. 7 months to be exact. On the bright side I actually have something to post about as opposed to just write an apology of absence or talk about things that I have lined up that don't actually come to light. So...

Within the next few weeks I will be receiving 2 new releases:



Post Teens-CS(Bored 002)
First pressing 100 copies
Pro tape.(50 copies were dubbed in our homes and sold on Tour/sold out)
This tape compiles their first two recorded efforts.

Side A, previously unreleased, is their first recording with "new" drummer Rick Smith, recorded at Bo Diddley's old house(aka 911 house), in the spring of 2010.

Song 4 originally appeared on the Ain't No Shame Vol. 1 compilation LP(along with the original/short version of bleached heads) on Boca Fiesta Records. (still available)

Rose Cross are from Gainesville, Florida and have been playing around for a little over a year now. They consist of former/current members of some Florida Hardcore/Punk bands and contain a lot of that raw harsh energy but play some straight forward Rock 'n' Roll(ish) Punk with some well thought out song structures that holds them apart from some of the other bands playing this style these days.

This tape also consists of two separate recording sessions:

Side A contains songs from the first session recorded at Bo Diddley's old house in 2010.

A different mix of these songs appear on a self released cassette(now sold out) that was sold at their shows on a Tour earlier this year.

Upcoming.

We have a few releases in the works and will have a few new things up for sale.

First: Post Teens are recording a new 7" right now. It's going to be 5 new songs and 1 reworked, re-recorded song from the demo session. There is no definitive release date slated yet but we are hoping for late 2010/early 2011. Keep an eye out for that.

Second: We are getting everything together now for a second comp tape. I have a few bands in mind and am trying to get the other ones together. That should also be out by late 2010.

Third: The last release we have planned for now is the debut 7" by Miami, Florida's Heartstrings. No date set for that either but I did get to see them twice this weekend with Post Teens and Partial People and they got me very excited to do this. It's gonna be great!

Within the next few weeks I will have some releases up for sale by some of the bands we work with/friends and local bands. These are some of the things I'll have soon:
-Partial People: 7 song demo tape
-The Ex-Boogeymen: Masters of Ceremony CD.
-St. Dad: Do as I say... 7"

So the tape has finally been released. There are 20 on yellow(tape and layout) that I dubbed at my house for a mini tour of Florida, Post Teens and Partial People just did this last weekend and 100 on Green(tape and layout).
